Power of Life is our corporate charity and a partnership with the Cancer Care Foundation Newfoundland & Labrador. Power of Life began in September 2002, with the hope to make a positive difference for those fighting cancer in our province, and their families.

Our goal is to raise much-needed funds for cancer treatment equipment, support programs and to promote cancer education and awareness initiatives right here at home in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Over the past 20 years, thanks to our employees, retirees and customers, we’ve raised over an incredible $5 million for cancer care.

This generosity has meant we have been able to provide much-needed equipment at local cancer centres right across the province, such as cuddle beds, blanket warmers, chemotherapy recliners, family chairs and vital signs monitors. We've also helped create spaces of peace and tranquility with our Gardens of Hope, where patients and families can enjoy quiet time for reflection and serenity.

The ringing of our Bells of Hope is music to our ears as we join in celebrating the many personal milestones and special moments with patients and families. And then there's a very special project that warms our hearts. The magical toy box, built by our very own employees, brings excitement and smiles to the faces of the very youngest patients that are undergoing radiation when they see treasures that are special for them.

Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of those living with cancer in our province, and every single dollar donated goes directly to helping make this possible.
