Electricity is all around us, sometimes where you least expect. Pay careful attention, especially after a storm, for downed lines.

Remember:
Downed wires should always be considered energized or "live", and extremely dangerous.
Do not approach or drive over a downed power line and do not touch anything it may be in contact with.
If a downed power line falls on a vehicle, passengers should stay in the vehicle until help arrives. If you have a cell phone with you call 911 or our emergency team at 1-800-474-5711. If you do not have a phone with you, wind down the window and ask a passersby to report for you.
