Hometown: Placentia, NL

Gary joined Newfoundland Power in 2002, and has been a member of the Executive Team for over eight years. He most recently held the position of Vice President, Customer Operations. Gary has extensive engineering and utility experience within North America. Over his career, he has gained a comprehensive understanding of the provincial electricity system and in depth industry knowledge. Prior to joining Newfoundland Power, Gary worked in the offshore oil and gas and hydroelectric industries. 

Gary holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He has completed the Finance for Senior Executives Program at Harvard Business School. Gary was inducted as a Fellow of Engineers Canada in 2019. Gary serves as a Director of Newfoundland Power and Electricity Canada, and is a member of the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland & Labrador, where he serves as Chair of the Association’s Limited License Committee and a member of their Registration Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Cancer Care Foundation Newfoundland & Labrador.

Hometown: Deer Lake, NL

Jamie joined Newfoundland Power in 2011 and has held progressively more senior technical and management positions during this time. He most recently held the position of Director, St. John’s Region. Jamie has extensive experience in the areas of transmission and distribution operations and is driven by a keen focus on safety, operational efficiency, and innovative thinking. He also plays a critical leadership role in all major outage and emergency response efforts, continually evaluating opportunities to safely enhance all aspects of Newfoundland Power’s operations.

Jamie holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and is a member of the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL). He is an active community volunteer and youth basketball coach.

Hometown:  St. John's, NL

Paige joined Newfoundland Power in February 2017 and is responsible for the Company’s finance and regulatory functions.  Prior to her current appointment, Paige held progressive finance positions at Fortis Inc. since 2004, including Director of Financial Reporting.

 

Paige holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Hons.) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Economics) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Chartered Professional Accountant Designation. She is also a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Newfoundland and Labrador. Paige serves as a Director for C-CORE.

Hometown: St. Lewis, NL
Byron joined Newfoundland Power in 2006 and held progressive positions throughout the organization. In 2016, he joined our sister company, Maritime Electric, as Vice President, Customer Service. In July 2018, Byron rejoined Newfoundland Power as Vice President, Energy Supply and Planning.

Byron holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Memorial University and is a graduate of the Advanced Leadership Program from Memorial's Gardiner Institute. Byron also sits on Electricity Canada's Distribution Council and National Emerging Issues Committee, and is a Director of the St. John's Board of Trade.
