Newfoundland Power wishes to remind our customers to be extremely wary when answering telephone calls offering products or services, and to never give out personal or financial information over the telephone. It is perfectly acceptable to say no and hang up immediately!
We are in the business of delivering safe, reliable electricity to your home/business, we do not solicit our customers to buy products or services. However, in order to provide you with the best service possible, we do have third parties conduct customer surveys on our behalf. Please be advised: If we call you regarding your account, we would NEVER ask you to provide your account information to us. We already have all of the customer information we require.
If you suspect that you have been the target of a telephone scam, report the call immediately to the RNC or RCMP in your area, the Better Business Bureau or PhoneBusters at 1-888-495-8501. If the call involves individuals impersonating our employees, please let us know by calling 1-800-663-2802.
