 Newfoundland Power Employees were acknowledged by the Mount Pearl Chamber of Commerce with the 2002 Environmental Award.
This award is in recognition of the respect shown by employees for the environment.
Newfoundland Power's Environmental Commitment Program is an employee-driven program that focuses on developing and supporting environmental initiatives throughout the island. Each year employees organize events aimed at helping safeguard the environment, such as Christmas tree mulching, roadside clean-ups, Tree Canada plantings and EnviroFest, an annual celebration which brings together community partners for environmental education and fun.
